Jerry DeBene of Alabama had an N Scale Con-Cor American Freedom Train GS-4 and decided he'd like to model the entire train in N Scale. He emailed me about getting a set of decals scaled down for him. I'd been planning to do it anyway, but, like everything else, a little push doesn't hurt.

That was in February 2008 and these pics show his progress since...

American Freedom Train

PROGRESS AS OF SEPTEMBER 2008

The train is coming along nicely!

Feel free to email him with questions about his model...

Here's how it started...

Using a production model as the basis of the 1904 Oldsmobile for inside Showcase Car #40.

Whittling away at the car...

Right side.

Completed car. Hard to believe how tiny it must be...

Starting the moon rover.

Built up and painted.

Finished.

Starting to model the B&O Arabian steam locomotive model from odds and ends...

Almost ready to paint...

Keep in mid this is probably smaller than Jerry's thumbnail.

Finished...

The Friendship Fire Engine from George Washington's fire company.
