American Freedom Train N Scale GS-4 by Con-Cor

Con-Cor International Ltd. has released their N Scale GS-4 in American Freedom Train paint.

The pilot trucks come covered with non-prototypical swing hangers made of black plastic as seen in the catalog photo above. Fortunately, this can easily be removed with a model knife, leaving the pilot truck looking completely prototypical, as seen at right.

Despite being the smallest AFT GS-4 loco ever mass produced, the model sports the most accurate paint job.

While the N scale Con-Cor AFT GS-4 was in production, the American Freedom Train Crew Reunion took place across town in Tucson, AZ.

Con-Cor invited the crew to their factory for a look at how they produce their models and the GS-4 specifically.

Shown is a page from their catalog with a group photo from the visit.

Con-Cor also produced an N scale model of the 1947 Freedom Train.
