The photos were taken at the GATSME Model Railroad Club in Ft. Washington, PA (Western suburbs of Philadelphia). The layout depicts the PRR Buffalo line from Harrisburg, PA to Buffalo NY and the PRR Elmira branch to Elmira NY in the 1950s. These are lines that the real AFT traveled on in July of 1976 going from Brackebridge, PA to Williamsport, PA to Binghamton, NY. Here, the Preamble Express and its first locomotive, D&H #2312, cross the Pt. Washington trestle and viaduct. |
