4th of July , 1976. America is 200 years old!
According
to the West Shore Times newspaper, the line to get postal cancels
at the train's mobile post office on July 4 was longer than the
line to go through the train itself! One person reported a 3 1/2
hour wait to get her prized cachet. |

to Butch Curll, the train came from Cumberland via the B&O/WM to
Hagerstown, Gettysburg, and York, PA., then Penn Central from York
to Harrisburg, PA. |
