A Freedom Train Memoir

The North Western Illinois Chapter of the NRHS published this 22-page look at the AFT's journey.

This well-illustrated magazine-style booklet contains two main stories - one by Jim Popson telling of his chasing the American Freedom Train around the upper Midwest, and the other by Joe McMillan who chased the train through the Southwest and Texas.
